PORTLAND, OR — Aug. 2, 2005
Five of the thirty scholarships are given as Inspired Teacher Scholarship Rookie awards. To be eligible for a Rookie award, candidates must be new to visual learning and demonstrate a desire and capacity to learn and apply visual learning techniques in their classrooms.
"Each year, it gets even more exciting to review the Inspired Teacher Scholarship for Visual Learning applications," said Mona Westhaver, president and co-founder, Inspiration Software. "We continue to discover new and innovative ways that educators around the world are using visual learning to help students learn difficult concepts and build critical thinking, writing and comprehension skills."
Educators from K-12 schools, colleges and universities are eligible to apply for the 2006 Inspired Teacher Scholarships for Visual Learning. A minimum of one year of service is required and applicants must demonstrate that they have direct contact with students.
